Pregaming at the Arena

-Both writers agree, Fairfield will win it. The Stags split the season series with their win coming at the Arena as well.
-Arguably more Saints fans than Stag supporters here. The student section moved from its normal spot removed from the court to the middle in the normal section.

MAAC Tourney: First Round Predictions

With the MAAC Tourney set to begin at noon today, teams throughout the conference will be watching to see who ousts who.

At 12 p.m., Saint Peter's and Rider square off. Saint Peter's has beaten Rider twice so far -- winning by a margin greater than 15 both times. Look for the Peahens to continue their winning ways against a Broncs team that has struggled both offensively and defensively.

The 2 p.m. game, Manhattan vs. Niagara, will be anybody's game. The two teams split their series with each other this year. Manhattan lost by almost 20 the first time out, but won by three in the second contest. Having won three of their last five games compared to the Broncs' one victory in the same amount of time, the Lady Jaspers may be the squad to beat.
